KATHMANDU: Many entrepreneurs, industrialists and traders in Nepal have recently joined the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (UML).
Lately, industrialist Rajesh Kumar Agrawal has also joined the Communist Party of Nepal (UML).
Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Sharma Oli welcomed Agrawal to the party during a function held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday. After the reception, Prime Minister Oli expressed confidence that Agrawal would play a positive role in the party, according to the PM’s secretariat.
Agrawal, 49, a resident of Bhairahawa, is also the General Manager of Arghakhanchi Cement and Shree Steel Pvt Ltd. He has been working in the interest of industrialists for a long time and is currently a central member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
Stating that he had not been affiliated with any political party before, he said that he had joined the party as the Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli was leading the country for development and prosperity.
“I have joined the party thinking that we, the industrialists, should also support the Prime Minister’s move,” he said.
