Infant dies after orange segments stuck in throat in Gulmi

Gulmi, Nov 23: A three-year-old infant died after some segments of an orange got stuck in his throat in Gulmi district on Thursday.

Ayush Thakuri of Chhap Rangla village of Malika Rural Municipality-5 in Gulmi district died in the accident this afternoon, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Gulmi Nabin Kishor Pradhan informed.

Kopila Thakuri of Malika Rural Municipality was residing in a rented house in the district headquarters Tamghas along with her son Ayush.

The accident took place when the baby was eating orange along with his mother while sunbathing on the roof of the house this afternoon.

Immediately after the accident, the baby was rushed to the Gulmi Hospital after he complained of breathing problem. The hospital pronounced his demise after an hour. RSS
