Kathmandu : The Nepal Police has made it clear that an investigation has been started against Senior Sub-Inspector of police Tanka Karki.
Karki is assigned to the security team of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand.
Stating that its serious attention has been drawn to the news reports of ‘involvement of PSO Tanka Karki with gold smugglers’, the Nepal Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General of Police Tek Prasad Rai has issued a statement here Tuesday and said that Karki has been transferred to the Police Headquarters Supervision and Monitoring Division and investigation is underway.
“After inquiry and investigation into the incident, if he is found guilty, action shall be taken according to the law”, reads the statement.
