iPhone 15 series: When will it launch and what to expect?



Apple launched the iPhone 14 series in September of 2022, since then rumors regarding it’s successor has been floating on the internet.

The next generation of iPhones are expected to launch in the month of September, 2023 if we follow their track record. It will feature 4 models similar to the iPhone 14 series. There will be 2 Pro models namely iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max and 2 regular models namely iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Max. The Pro models will have exclusive features similar to 14 series to keep the price difference justified.

The screen size on all the models will remain same as their predecessor, i.e. two 6.1 inches phone which are the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. Similarly, we will also see two 6.7 inches phone which are the iPhone 15 Max and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

According to rumors, the iPhone 15 lineup will most likely replace the Lightning port with a USB-C port across all models. Additionally, the Dynamic Island feature, which replaces the notch on the display, will be available on all models, including the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.

Apple is reportedly planning to use Qualcomm modem chips for the new devices because their own modem chips are not yet ready. The standard iPhone 15 models will come with an A16 chip upgrade from the iPhone 14 Pro models, while the iPhone 15 Pro models will use the faster and more efficient 3-nanometer A17 chips. There are also rumors that the Pro models will have titanium frames, slimmer bezels, curved edges, and a periscope lens for improved zooming capabilities.

Pricing for the iPhone 15 lineup is expected to remain the same, with the entry-level 6.1-inch model starting at $799 and the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus starting at $899.
