Kathmandu, June 11: Kathmandu District Court has sentenced former judge Bhuvan Giri to seven years imprisonment and Rs 3 lakh compensation in the charges of marital rape case.
A single bench of Judge Durga Bhusal sentenced against the former District Judge Giri.
Earlier, the bench of Judge Bhusal had convicted former judge Giri in the rape case. Today the court determined the punishment and compensation.
When he was working at the Kapilvastu District Court, he was suspended and imprisoned after a police complaint was lodged against him.
