Kathmandu, July 2: A meeting of the Judicial Council today has recommended to appoint eight district judges.
According to a notice published by the Council, the judges include Kamalkanta Joshi, Narayan Sapkota, Basantraj Joshi, Maniram Gyawali, Anjanraj Sapkota, Nitij Rai, Tilak Karki and Chandramani Chapagain.
The constitution of Nepal and Judicial Council Act, 2016, has enshrined the authority to Judicial Council to recommend names of judges to be appointed in district courts, transfer, disciplinary action, termination and other issues relating to judicial administration.
