Pokhara, April 22: The CPN UML-led government has collapsed in Gandaki province. Gandaki Chief Minister Khag Raj Adhikari was automatically relieved of his post after failing to get the vote of confidence from the provincial parliament.
Chief Minister Adhikari received 24 votes while 34 voted against.
He was appointed Chief Minister on January 9, 2023 with the support from CPN (Maoist Centre). After the new coalition in centre, the Maoist Centre withdrew their support to the Chief Minister.
Now, a new coalition will claim for the Chief Minister where CPN (Maoist Centre), Nepali Congress and CPN (Unified Socialist) and others will form the government.
