Komal Shah’s health deteriorates, hospital begins plasma therapy

KATHMANDU: Former Queen Komal Shah, who was infected with coronavirus, has been treated with plasma therapy. She has been undergoing treatment with plasma therapy since Thursday evening.

She was shifted to the ICU on Wednesday evening due to respiratory problems and lack of oxygen. Even today, she is supported by high-flow oxygen.

According to Norvic International Hospital, former King Gyanendra Shah’s health condition is normal and stable. He is also currently on normal oxygen support. Former Princess Prerna’s condition has returned to normal. She does not have to be given oxygen support.

All three were admitted to Norvic Hospital last Saturday.

Former King Gyanendra and Komal recently visited Haridwar of India to take part in Kumbh Mela and religious activities. According to reports, Haridwar itself turned into the coronavirus hotspot.
