Kshitij Thebe declared winner in Youth Association



Kathmandu, May 27: Kshitij Thebe has been elected as the President of the CPN UML affiliated National Youth Association of Nepal from its 10th National Convention. He defeated his rival and current General Secretary Suman Puri by a margin of 188 votes.

Thebe secured 796 votes, while Puri received 608 votes. Out of a total of 1,764 delegates, 1,404 cast their votes. The Koshi Province had the highest voter turnout with 185 votes cast.

Backed by CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and Coordinator of the UML’s Organizational Coordination Mechanism Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, Thebe has now entered his second term. With this election, the Youth Association has become the first UML-affiliated organization to select its leadership through a democratic voting process.

  • General Secretary: Mahesh Chaulagain
