Kathmandu, May 8: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has asked all members of parliamentary committees to submit their biometric details for the implementation of an electronic attendance system during House meetings.
According to a notice issued by the Secretariat at Singha Durbar, members of various parliamentary committees have been instructed to appear on designated dates, times and venues for the collection of biometric data. Official photographs of lawmakers will also be taken during the process.
The Secretariat has requested members to attend in formal attire wearing the Parliament logo. The biometric registration and photography sessions will be conducted in the meeting rooms of the Public Accounts Committee and the Finance Committee on May 7 and 8.
The notice, signed by Deputy Secretary Pradeep Guragai, states that the initiative is aimed at recording attendance in parliamentary meetings through electronic means. #Nepal
