SURKHET: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that they waged a revolt in the UML since the latter deviated from the communist movement.
At a meet the press programme in Surkhet on Thursday, Chairman Nepal argued that they disassociated themselves from the UML to safeguard the movement as anomalies, wrong practices, individualism and groupism reached at their peak in the UML.
There will not be unity with other political parties immediately but the first priority was development of party organisation, the former Prime Minister said.
“Talks are on with politicians willing to join the CPN (Unified Socialist) but we will not forge unity with other parties at present,” Nepal said.
Asked on UML’s 10th national general convention, Chairman Nepal expressed his disinterestedness stating that it was not his business.
Chairman Nepal arrived here today along with party general secretary Dr Beduram Bhusal, leader Pramesh Hamal and others to address the Karnali Province-level gathering of the party.
