Dang, Feb 11: Lumbini Province Minister without portfolio Mrs Krishna KC has resigned from the post. Expressing her dissatisfaction with the selection of the ministry, she has submitted her resigation to Chief Minister Lila Giri on Saturday.
Chief Minister Giri has prepared to expand the cabinet on Sunday, according to his private secretariat. Chet Narayan Acharya, minister and spokesperson of the government, said that the resignation of KC, who became minister on behalf of the CPN (Maoist Centre), was not due to dissatisfaction with the government. He said, “Minister KC’s resignation may be a problem within her party, not a disagreement with the government.”
Chief Minister Giri has already received the vote of confidence in the provincial assembly.
