Madan Krishna stars in Pahad, A tale of deserted hills and dreams

Kathmandu, Feb 5: Director Tulsi Ghimire has officially started the shooting of the movie Pahad. The shooting commenced with a puja at Gorkha Durbar, followed by filming scenes featuring actors Madan Krishna Shrestha, Arun Chhetri, and debut actress Panchami Ghimire.

Director Ghimire stated that the movie revolves around the theme of social and economic issues arising from the migration of young people abroad, leaving the hills empty. The shooting will continue for 25 days in and around Gorkha.

He said, “The story reflects the harsh realities of our present society. The movie portrays the story of deserted high hills. I am excited to work with both the old and new generations of actors. Returning to film direction has given me a renewed sense of energy.”

This film marks the acting debut of Tulsi Ghimire’s daughter, Panchami Ghimire. Director Ghimire expressed his happiness at his daughter’s entry into the film industry.

“It is indescribable happiness when your children join your profession or believe in your work. Just like in other professions, we filmmakers also dream of seeing our children carry forward our legacy,” he said.

The film highlights the responsibilities of citizens and the needs of the nation. The movie is produced by Ojashwi KC, with Pramod Pradhan as the cinematographer. Actors Bipin Karki and Sunil Thapa will also be seen in key roles. Music for the film is composed by Ranjit Gajmer. #nepal #film #pahad
