Meetings of four parliamentary committees scheduled for today



Kathmandu, Aug 1: Four committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to convene meetings today, focusing on various legislative and national issues.

According to the parliamentary secretariat, the Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee, Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, Legislation Management Committee, and the Federalism Enablement and National Concerns Committee will hold sessions throughout the day.

  • The Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee will meet at 12:30 PM in its designated meeting hall to discuss the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Land, 2082. Participants will include representatives from the relevant federal and provincial ministries, the Municipal Association of Nepal (MUAN), the National Association of Rural Municipalities in Nepal (NARMIN), and experts in land, forest, and legal affairs.
  • The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will convene at 2:30 PM to conduct a clause-wise discussion on the Media Council Bill, 2080. The meeting will be held in the committee’s working room.
  • The Legislation Management Committee is scheduled to meet at 1:00 PM in its meeting hall for a clause-wise review of the Water Resources Bill, 2081.
  • The Federalism Enablement and National Concerns Committee will begin its meeting at 11:00 AM in its working room. The agenda includes a review of the implementation status of national pride projects under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. Discussions will focus on progress made, challenges encountered, and expectations from the committee in overcoming obstacles.
