KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has published the preliminary list of recommended Vice-Chancellors in three health institutions.
Thirteen out of 21 applicants for Karnali Institute of Health Sciences have been shortlisted whereas Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences and Patan Health Institute have so far shortlisted 9 each.
According to the Ministry of Health, Dr. Shri Krishna Shrestha, Dr. Duk Bahadur Chhetri, Dr. Bidur Bahadur Wasti, Dr. Pralhad Karki, Dr. Surendra Sherchan, Dr. Dhruv Bahadur Adhikari, Dr. Bharat Bahadur Khatri, Dr. Giridhari Sharma Pangeni and Dr. Saroj Sharma’s name has been published in the preliminary list for Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences.
Similarly, Dr Pravin Kumar Giri, Dr. Rajiv Shah, Dr. Mangal Rawal, Dr. Pujan Kumar Rokaya, Dr. Niresh Thapa, Dr. Tarun Poudel, Dr. Harihar Devkota, Dr. Rajendra Raj Wagle, Dr. Gehnath Baral, Dr. Sunil Budhathoki, Dr. Suryaman Menyangwo, Dr. Resham Bahadur Rana and Dr. Keshav Prasad Singh have been selected for a preliminary list for Karnali Institute.
Likewise, for the Patan Institute of Health Sciences, Dr. Bulanda Thapa, Dr. Pralhad Karki, Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra, Dr. Gehnath Baral, Dr. Paras Kumar Acharya, Dr. Rajesh Nath Gangol, Dr. Dan Bahadur Karki, Dr. Hemraj Ojha and Dr.Keshav Prasad Singh has been published in the preliminary list, the ministry said.
The Ministry of Health and Population had formed a committee to call, select and recommend the possible candidates of the Vice Chancellor for three health institutes.
