MoF decides for electricity demand fee waiver

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has decided to implement electricity demand fee waiver for the lockdown period of manufacturing industries affected due to COVID-19.

A meeting at the Ministry of Finance chaired by Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel decided to waive electricity fee.

The industry sector, including Federation of Nepali Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Confederation of Nepali Industries (CNI) were demanding to address the electricity demand fee for the lockdown period.
