KATHMANDU: A motorcyclist has died when he was hit by a tipper truck at Kalanki Chowk in Kathmandu this morning.
A tipper (Ba 5 Kha 7345) heading towards Swayambhu from Thankot had hit a motorcycle (Ba 80 Pa 6373) heading in the same direction at around 3 this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Diwakar Adhikari, 45, of Dhunibeshi Municipality-2, Dhading. Adhikari, who was critically injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, according to the Valley Traffic Police Office.
The tipper truck driver has been taken under control by Kalimati Police.
