NC Mustang and Rukum (East) get new leaderships

KATHMANDU: Former Minister Romi Gauchan has been elected the President of Nepali Congress, Mustang.

A 13-member new working committee of the Nepali Congress has been elected in the district convention held at Thasang rural municipality-3, Lete on Friday.

According to NC Mustang Election Committee Coordinator, Ananta Acharya, the leadership was picked on consensus.

The newly-elected President is the former Minister for Commerce.

Among others elected in the committee are Bijaya Hirachan and Dhoka Gurung (Vice-President), Bikal Sherchan and Chhewang Narwu Gurung (Secretary), Namdul Gurung and Somal Hirachan (Joint Secretary) and Ganesh Sherchan (Treasurer).

Meanwhile, Kesharman Roka has been unanimously elected the President of NC Rukum (east). The district convention held on Saturday elected him the President unopposed.

Roka was the President in earlier term too. Roka was the former assistant minister.

Other elected are Bhim Bahadur Khadka and Tejendra Kham Magar (Vice-President), Lokendra Shah and Hari Bahadur KC (Secretary), Dhan Pratap Budhamagar and Khadka Bahadur Gharti (Joint Secretary).
