KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has nominated three leaders as Central Member of the party. The newly nominated leaders are Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, Kalyan Gurung and Pradip Poudel.
All of the nominated members were defeated on the 14th General Convention of the party.
Chief Minister of Karnali Jeevan Bahadur Shahi was contesting for Joint-General Secretary, Kalyan Gurung was vying for party President and young leader Pradip Poudel was contesting for General Secretary.
President Deuba had already nominated 10 leaders, including Senior Leader Ram Chandra Poudel, to the post of Central Member. According to NC party statute, President Deuba can nominate 35 people on the Central Member of the party.
