NC President telephones Indian ambassador regarding new map issued by India



Kathmandu, Nov 7 : The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that his serious attention was drawn towards news that New Delhi has included the Nepali territories of Kalapani and Lipulek in India’s new political map issued recently.

 According to NC Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma, President Deuba has made a telephone call to Indian ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri on Thursday and has clarified that the Kalapani and Lipulek are Nepali territory.

Earlier, NC spokesperson through the social media, has called on the government to immediately make its views on the issue public and take serious initiatives in that connection.

Stating that Kalapani and Lipulek are Nepal’s integral parts, Sharma stressed any questions regarding Nepal’s soil raised from anywhere were objectionable and unacceptable.
