NCP forms three-member committee for MCC

Kathmandu: A Central Committee meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has formed a three-member committee coordinated by party senior leader Jhalanath Khanal to provide recommendations in regard with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

The committee comprises party leader Bhim Bahadur Rawal and Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali.

Under the MCC agreement, the US government shall provide Rs 51 billion to Nepal to spend in hydropower and road projects. As per the provision, the MCC shall be endorsed by the Federal Parliament.
