Pokhara, Oct 25 : The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Kaski District Committee has decided to recommend Mrs Bidya Bhattarai as the candidate from the party for the upcoming by-election to be held on November 30 at Kaski Constituency-2. The seat fell vacant after the demise of former minister and Member of Parliament Rabindra Adhikari in chopper crash on March 27 this year.
Mrs Bhattarai is the spouse then minister Mr Adhikari.
According to Krishna Thapa, Chairman of the District Committee, NCP Kaski unanimously selected her as the candidate.
The by-election for the House of Representative have been carried out after the former minister and MP Adhikari died in a helicopter crash in Taplejung some 8 months back.
It is learnt that the name of Mrs Bhattarai will be the final because she was the only name proposed by the District Committee.
