NCP Secretariat meeting scheduled for Saturday



Kathmandu: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is convening its Secretariat Meeting on coming Saturday, August 29.

Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli and party another chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ agreed to hold the Secretariat Meeting at 11 am on August 29 following a consultation between them, Prime Minister’s press advisor Surya Thapa said.

According to Thapa, the meeting’s agenda would be the report submitted by the taskforce constituted to give recommendation for resolving the dispute seen in the party.

The party Chair duo held discussions at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar for two hours today.

A six-member taskforce headed by general secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel was constituted on August 14 for sorting out the row seen in the party.

The taskforce has already submitted its report to the two Chairmen on August 22.
