Nepal Airlines paid Rs.33 crore to Employee Provident Fund

Kathmandu: The national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation, has paid Rs. 33 crore to the Employee Provident Fund.

The corporation has submitted the installment amount of the loan obligation to be paid to the fund for the purchase of the Airbus plane. “For taking a loan from the fund for the purchase of a plane, the principal and interest amount for the purchase of a Airbus narrow-body plane was paid last on January 13,” the NA statement said.

Earlier, the Nepal Airlines had paid Rs.1.35 billion on July 14, 2022 and Rs.730 million on October 18, 2022.

The NA has mentioned that in the past due to various reasons, the loan obligations of the Employee Fund and Citizen Investment Trust were not being paid, and in recent days, they have been paying regular installments.
