Nepal Airlines reduced fares on cargo chartered flights

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has reduced the airfare for international cargo transportation of existing rate by 13 to 15 percent.

The Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the price of international aviation fuel by 20 percent on Sunday. Accordingly, Nepal Airlines Corporation has also reduced the cargo chartered fare.

In a statement issued on Monday, Karishma Shrestha, spokesperson of the Nepal Airlines Corporation, thanked the NOC for reducing the price of fuel and said that it would have a positive impact on Nepal’s tourism sector as well.

Chartered rates

The widebody aircraft’s existing per hour fare US$ 15,520 will be reduced to per hour US$ 13,460 (13%). Likewise, narrow body aircraft’s existing fare of US$ 7,710 per hour have been changed into US$ 6,500 (15%) per hour.

The corporation has stated that the fares of other destinations will also be adjusted after the resumption of regular international flights.
