Kathmandu, Sept 15: A four-day joint military exercise is going to be held between the Nepali and American forces from today. This practice has been named ‘Pacific Angel’.
Gaurav Kumar KC, spokesman of the Nepali Army, said that the joint exercise will be held from September 15 to 18 for the purpose of sharing experience in the field of disaster management and humanitarian assistance.
“During the exercise, there will be an exchange of knowledge about the existing methods and procedures to be adopted to make the search and rescue operations conducted during various types of disasters more effective,” KC said, “The exercises will be conducted in Kathmandu, Makwanpur and Dhading districts.”
