‘Nepal committed for promoting social justice’

Kathmandu, June 12: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Dol Prasad Aryal expressed Nepal’s commitment towards promoting social justice.

In his address to the 112th session of the International Labour Conference organized in Geneva on Tuesday, Minister Aryal reaffirmed commitment to implement the agenda of mobilizing labourers in decent work.

Minister Aryal shared Nepal’s experience, achievements and reforms in addressing labour-related problems and implementation of relevant laws , according to the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations in Geneva.

On the occasion, Minister had a meeting with Minister of Human Resources of Malaysia Chee Keong SIM on the sidelines of the conference on Tuesday.

Issues relating to fostering safe working environment for Nepali migrant workers and strengthening cooperation in enhancing the skills of workers were discussed during the meeting.

Likewise, Minister Aryal had a meeting with Minister of Labour of Qatar Ali Samikh Al Marri on the sidelines of the conference same day.

The two ministers discussed the ways to strengthening bilateral cooperation in addressing the problems and improving the working conditions for Nepali workers.

Minister Aryal will join the Nepali delegation led by President Ramchandra Paudel on June 12-13 and return home on June 14. #nepal
