Nepal COVID-19 cases rise to 132,246, death toll reaches to 739

Kathmandu: Nepal reported 2,942 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new covid-related fatalities on Sunday, making the death toll at 739.

According to Ministry of Health and Population, the total cases tally climbed to 132,246. The number of active cases remains at 35,353 as nearly 92,000 people have made successful recovery.

In the past 24 hours, 2,336 people recovered, the ministry said.

In a regular press briefing, spokesperson at Ministry of Health Dr Jageshwor Gautam informed that the government was preparing new modalities and guidelines about the COVID-19 tests and treatment.

He said that tests and treatment will not be available free for all.
