Kathmandu, June 4: Under the ICC World Cup League 2, Nepal will face the Netherlands today. The 50-over one-day match is scheduled to begin at 3:45 PM Nepali time.
This will be Nepal’s second match in the ongoing tri-nation series involving Nepal, Scotland, and the Netherlands. In their opening game, Nepal defeated hosts Scotland by thrilling one wicket.
Returning to the longer format after seven months, Nepal is under pressure to win the upcoming matches to maintain their position in League 2. The top four teams from the League will qualify for the Global Qualifier of the World Cup, while the bottom four will have to play in the playoffs.

Currently, Nepal sits in 7th position on the points table with 8 points from 13 matches. Scotland, with 20 points from 17 matches, holds 4th place, while the Netherlands is in 2nd position with 26 points from 20 matches.
The USA leads the table with 28 points from 20 matches, followed by Oman (24 points), Canada (20 points from 20 matches), Namibia (14 points from 20 matches), and the UAE is at the bottom with just 6 points from 16 matches.
