Nepali football team to participate in SV Mamendorf Cup in Germany



Kathmandu, June 4: A 35-member children  football team is set to depart for Germany on Thursday to participate in the prestigious SV Mamendorf VR Bank Cup, scheduled from June 5 to 15.

The team comprises the following players:

Nadup Prasai, Sparsha Rai, Joseph Gurung, Nirbigna Dhakal, Shreyansh Pant, Sreeshant Yogi, Prayan KC, Shreebhas Kharel, Prisha Shrestha, Sashyak Prasad Pradhan, Biraj Gautam, Gaurav Adhikari, Om Dawadi, Niskarshraj Shakya, Aman Ghimire, Aryan Shrestha, Ayush Shrestha, Jason Namsel Davis Bajracharya, Yujan Timalsina, Nisan Mahato, Vaibhav Goyal, Samarpan Bobby Sedhai, Anmol Neupane, Aiden Shrestha, Shashank Bhandari, Ashutosh Malhotra, Anab Lama, Atish Shrestha, Aryabir Singh, Subish Kayastha, Arhan Baskota, Sivans Bhattarai, Tenzing Sherpa, Bhavyash Shah, and Pemba Nurbu Bhote.

The players will compete in the tournament by dividing into three distinct age groups.

The team will be accompanied by officials Shree Bahadur Yogi, Chandika Joshi, and Homnath Timalsina, while the coaching staff includes Thaman Bhusal, Krishna Tamang, and Le Manson. The physiotherapy needs of the team will be overseen by Rabindra Basnet.

In a farewell program held on Wednesday, Tankalal Ghising, Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council, wished the team success in their upcoming international journey. #nepal #football #nsc
