Nepal imports 10,845 electric vehicles worth Rs. 26 billion

Kathmandu, June 24: Nepal imported 10,845 electric vehicles (EVs) worth Rs. 25.55 billion during the first 11 months of the current fiscal year 2025/26.

According to the Department of Customs, the imported vehicles ranged in capacity from 50 kW to 201 kW, covering various models and categories.

During the review period, 3,680 electric vehicles with a capacity of up to 50 kW were imported at a total value of Rs. 5.65 billion.

Similarly, 6,357 electric vehicles with capacities ranging from 51 kW to 100 kW were imported, with a combined value of Rs. 16.49 billion. #nepal
