Nepal logs 2,525 new COVID-19 cases, 35 died in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: A total of 2,525 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, these cases were identified while conducting swab test on 14,810 individuals in the country. In the same period 2,086 infected persons have recovered. The recovery rate is 93.5 per cent in Nepal.

Similarly, 35 infected patients have died of the virus today. With this, total deaths have reached 10,568 in the country so far.

Ministry further shared that there are 38,250 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Kathmandu valley recorded 689 new cases of virus infection on Tuesday.
