Nepal Oil Corporation hikes prices of petrol, diesel



Kathmandu, Oct 15: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), a government entity, has increased the prices of petroleum products. The decision was made during a meeting of the corporation’s board, effective from tonight.

According to the NOC, the prices petrol has been increased by Rs 1 per liter and diesel and kerosene by Rs 4 per liter.

With this adjustment, the price of petrol is set at Rs 156.50 per liter for the first category, Rs 158 for the second category, and Rs 159 for the third category.

For diesel and kerosene, the prices are Rs 148.50 for the first category, Rs 150 for the second category, and Rs 151 for the third category.

The corporation has classified the fuel distribution into three categories: Category 1 includes Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhawali, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj; Category 2 includes Surkhet and Dang; and Category 3 includes Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.

The decision was taken after receiving new rates from Indian Oil Corporation, the only petro supplier into Nepal. #NOC #petro
