Nepal Oil Corporation reduces prices of petroleum products

Kathmandu, July 1: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products following a decision by its Board of Directors on Tuesday.

According to the corporation, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 20 per litre, while the prices of diesel and kerosene have been cut by Rs. 30 per litre. Similarly, the price of domestic aviation fuel has been reduced by Rs. 40 per litre, and the price of international aviation fuel for Kathmandu has been lowered by USD 265 per kilolitre. The price of Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gas has also been reduced by Rs. 100 per cylinder.

Under the revised price structure, consumers in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal (Category III) will now pay Rs. 197 per litre for petrol and Rs. 195 per litre for diesel and kerosene. Previously, petrol was priced at Rs. 217 per litre, while diesel and kerosene cost Rs. 225 per litre in these areas.

In Category I, which includes Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj, the new prices have been fixed at Rs. 194.50 per litre for petrol and Rs. 192.50 per litre for diesel and kerosene.

For Category II, covering Surkhet and Dang, petrol will now cost Rs. 196 per litre, while diesel and kerosene have been priced at Rs. 194 per litre.

The revised price of domestic aviation fuel has been set at Rs. 229 per litre. Meanwhile, the prices of international aviation fuel have been fixed at USD 1,566 per kilolitre for Kathmandu, USD 1,100 per kilolitre for Pokhara, and USD 1,085 per kilolitre for Bhairahawa.

Following the latest revision, consumers will now purchase a 14.2-kilogram cylinder of LP gas for Rs. 2,060, down from the previous price of Rs. 2,160 per cylinder. #nepal
