Kathmandu, June 6: The Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) has partnered with FonePay Private Limited to facilitate cross-border payments between Nepal and India.
This agreement allows Indian customers visiting Nepal to make instant payments using UPI-enabled apps such as PhonePe, BHIM UPI, and Google Pay.
The partnership enables merchants affiliated with the FonePay Network of SBI to accept UPI payments, promoting cashless transactions and enhancing the banking experience for customers.
The agreement was signed by SBI and FonePay executives, with senior officials in attendance. According to SBI Nepal, it offers services through 97 branches, 22 extension counters, 7 province offices, 1 corporate office, and 121 ATMs.
