Kathmandu, Oct 18: Nepal has defeated USA by 17 runs in the first T20 cricket match played at the Texas’ Grand Praire Stadium, USA today.
After losing the toss, Nepal was invited to bat first. With the help of magnificent knock by captain Rohit Paudel, Nepal managed to score 164 with the loss of 9wickets. Rohit scored 49 runs before run-out in the inning’s last ball.
Nepali batsmen Anil Sah and Aasif Sheikh both scored 27 runs each while Dipendra Singh Airee scored 28 runs.
Chasing a competitive target of 165 runs, USA team couldn’t build better partnership and lost wickets in regular intervals.
USA team managed to score 147 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 over.
Nepali bowler Dipendra Singh Airee took 3 wickets while Rijan Dhakal, Gulsan Jha and Karan Chhetri took 1 wicket each. #cricket
