Nepali bullion market shines amid US Dollar fluctuations

Kathmandu, Jan 13: Prices of gold and silver have continued to rise sharply in the domestic market, recording a notable increase over the past three days.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has been fixed at Rs 276,500 per tola (11.66 grams), while silver is being traded at Rs 5,340 per tola.

Hallmark gold, which was traded at Rs 270,600 per tola on Sunday, rose by Rs 4,100 to Rs 274,700 per tola on Monday.

Similarly, silver prices have also increased. Silver, which was traded at Rs 4,990 per tola on Sunday, rose to Rs 5,195 on Monday.

Bullion traders attribute the surge in prices to fluctuations in the US dollar and ongoing global economic uncertainty, which have driven investors toward precious metals.

According to international media, gold is currently being traded at USD 4,588 per ounce in the international market, while silver is priced at USD 84 per ounce.
