Nepali business delegation leaves for Brazil



Kathmandu, Feb 19: A delegation of business leaders and entrepreneurs led by Mr. Akhil Kumar Chapagain, President of Nepal Brazil Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI), has left for Brazil for a 9-day tour. The delegation left Kathmandu on 16 February and remain there in Brazil until 24 February.

The delegation, comprising of 19 members, will visit the Brazilian cities of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to explore business opportunities between Nepal and Brazil. On that occasion, Brazilian Ambassador Carlos Den Hartog and Deputy Chief of Mission Jose Mario organized a special ceremony in Kathmandu to bid farewell to the delegation.

Mr. Umesh Rayamajhi as Co-leader and Mr. Niraj Timilsina as Coordinator has supported the delegation to make the visit more fruitful. The delegation include enterpreneurs as Bijay Prakash Gupta, Binay Thapa, Jaya Ram Aryal, Jeewan Bhattarai, Kul Prasad Chapagain, Lava Ram Dahal, Madhav Giri, Prabhu Shumsher J B Rana, Rakesh Kumar Shrestha, Sanjeev Regmi, Shailendra B C Budhathoki , Shiva Hari Dangal, Sudhir Kumar Sharma, Sushil Kadariya, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Nirmal Raj Poudel.

During their visit, they will meet with Brazilian business leaders and entrepreneurs from FECOMERCIO and Brazilian Association of Hotel Industries (ABIH). The delegates will visit major Brazilian companies to explore business opportunities between Nepal and Brazil.

The NBCCI is a non-profit organization established to promote trade, investment and collaboration between Nepal and Brazil.
The delegation will be the third visit to Brazil from Nepal, and is expected to open up new business opportunities for both countries.
