KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has finalized the candidates for the National Assembly member election scheduled for January 26.
A central working committee meeting held today finalized the candidate for NA election from the party, said Chief Secretary of the NC Central Office, Krishna Prasad Poudel.
The meeting decided to nominate Gopal Kumar Basnet as the candidate from Province 1, Krishna Prasad Poudel from Bagmati Province, Kamala Panta from Gandaki Province, Durga Kumari Gurung from Karnali province, Yubraj Sharma from Lumbini and Narayan Dutta Mishra from Sudurpaschim Province.
The meeting also appealed to all the voters to ensure the victory of the candidates as per the agreement reached among the ruling coalition to move ahead together in the National Assembly election.
General-Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma had presented the proposal in the the meeting held under chairmanship of Prime Minister and Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
