Nepali Congress: Ward conventions in 13 districts today

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress is starting ward conventions in 13 districts from today which was obstructed due to active membership disputes. The ward convention of the Nepali Congress has already completed in other districts.

According to the NC Central Election Committee, ward conventions are starting today in eight districts of Province No. 2 and Kailali, Banke, Surkhet, Dolpa and Rasuwa districts. However, due to the resignation of the party’s election officer in Sarlahi, there is still confusion over holding the ward convention.

Mahadev Prasad Yadav, coordinator of the committee, said that the convention would be started even after sending another election official.

According to the revised schedule published by the committee, the remaining village / municipality conventions will be held on Kartik 30, the Provincial Assembly/Regional Convention on Mangsir 3, the House of Representatives Regional Convention on Mangsir 6, and remaining regional convention will be held on Mangsir 10.

Similarly, the state convention is scheduled to be held on Mangsir 16 and 17, and the central convention is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from Mangsir 24 to 26.
