NEPSE again at three thousand points

KATHMANDU: On the last day of the trading week, the NEPSE index has crossed 3,000 points. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has gained by 18.75 points reaching 3,431 points.

Similarly, the Sensitive Index, which measures the trading volume of Class A companies, rose by 4.06 points to 562.24. A total of 559.64 million shares of 222 companies worth Rs 11.11 billion were traded today.

According to NEPSE, shares of eight of the 13 subgroups declined while shares of five subgroups rose. Banking increased by 35.64 points, hydropower by 26.6 points, finance by 38.25 points, non-life insurance by 38.7 points and collective investment funds by 0.92 points.

Similarly, trade subgroups declined by 82.46 points, hotels and tourism by 15.23 points, development banks by 15.93 points, manufacturing by 21.65 points, others by 11.41 points, microfinance by 12.73 points, life insurance by 38.79 points and investment by 0.3 points.

Today, the Agriculture Development Bank was in the top position in terms of transactions. The bank had a turnover of Rs. 462.764 million. Similarly, transactions of Nepal Bank amounted to Rs. 365,080,728, NIC Asia Bank to Rs. 364,48,446, Ngadi Group of Hydropower to Rs. 343,451,700 and Siddhartha Bank to Rs. 328,52,728.

Investors of Lakshmi Unnati Kosh 10.04, CEDB Hydropower 10, Ngadi Group of Power 10, Pokhara Finance 9.95 and Mountain Hydro have earned 9.95 percent.

Similarly, Himalayan Power Partner lost 4.07 percent, Barun Hydropower 3.93 percent, Bishal Bazar Company 3.10 percent, Sarathi Nepal Microfinance 2.84 percent and Saptakoshi Development Bank lost 2.83 percent.
