NEPSE down by 76 points on Sunday, investors worry

KATHMANDU: The share market has fallen sharply on Sunday. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 75.79 points and stood at 2572.22 points. Overall, the market declined 2.86 percent on the day.

Shares worth Rs 7.28 billion have been traded. The stock market turned red on Sunday. The stock market, which had reached above 2700 points, has fallen below 2600 points.

More than 14.69 million shares of 215 companies have been traded on Sunday. The price of two companies has gone up in such a way as to create a circuit.

NIFRA (Nepal Infrastructure Bank) is at the forefront in the purchase and sale amount with Rs. 395.2 million. The second is Jyoti Life Insurance and the third is Upper Tamakoshi.

With the speculation of lockdown due to rapid spread of coronavirus, it might be the cause of decreasing trend in NEPSE.
