Kathmandu, Jan 1: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has dropped a margin of 8.75 points to 2,060.15 points today.
Today, 1 crore 18 lakh shares of 306 different companies were bought and sold with a turnover amounting to Rs. 4,483,982,461.
The sub-index of banking group increased by 0.01 points, development bank by 0.10 points, investment and production and processing group by 1.07 points and business group by 0.45 points. The highest decline of 1.72 percent has been observed in the sub-index of hydropower group.
Similarly, finance decreased by 0.80 percent, hotel and tourism by 1.67 percent, life insurance by 1.58 percent, microfinance by 0.15 percent, mutual fund by 0.31 percent, non-life insurance by 0.75 percent and other groups by 0.32 percent.
There was a positive circuit in the share price of CDB Hydropower Development Company and Chirkhuwa Hydropower Limited. Among the biggest losers, the share price of Molung Hydropower Company decreased by 8.09 percent.
