NEPSE index fell below 3,000 again

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which measures a new record of more than 3,000 on Monday, fell below 3,000 on Wednesday.

The NEPSE index, which had declined by 32 points in the pre-opening session on Wednesday, had started declining even after the opening of trading. At the close, the NEPSE index fell by 52.41 points to 2,969.69.

The NEPSE index, which reached 2,983 points on Sunday, had reached a record high of 3,000 on Monday. On Tuesday, a slight correction was seen, but the index was stopped above 3,000.

On Wednesday, it fell below 3,000. The Security Board of Nepal (SEBON) on Tuesday named 51 of the listed companies as risky. The share prices of most of the companies mentioned by the board declined.

However, the transaction amount had reached over Rs 15.48 billion.
