Kathmandu, March 19: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 6.90 points to 1,926.40 points today. A total of 31,63,389 shares of different 259 companies were bought and sold.
Today, the sub-indices of hotel and tourism, hydropower, investment, non-life insurance and business groups have increased, while the sub-indices of all other groups have decreased. The hotel and tourism group’s sub-index increased the most by 26.63 points. Similarly, hydropower group increased by 6.81 points, investment group by 0.16 points, non-life insurance group by 2.72 points and business group by 2.61 points.
The sub-index of the life insurance group decreased the most by 61.09 and the sub-index of the product group decreased by 49.11 points. Likewise, banking group has decreased by 6.72 points, development bank group by 15.82 points, finance group by 0.08 points, microfinance group by 37.68 points, mutual fund group by 0.16 points and other groups by 5.24 points.
There is a positive circuit in the share prices of three companies. Manushi Microfinance, Unique Nepal Microfinance and Shubham Power Limited have a positive circuit in their share prices.
