KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index lost 5.09 points on Wednesday and closed at 2,649.60. The index opened at 2,675.95 but did not trade anywhere higher than that.
According to NEPSE data, 14,867,995 shares traded hands via 78,771 transactions today. The trading of 218 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.21 billion. While the float index lost 0.17 points and closed at 182.62, the Sensitive index is at 473.81 after losing 1.63 points.
The ten highest gainers have impressively closed at the upper limit of 10% gain today.
Four sectors gained and all others lost today.
