NEPSE index rose by 65.49 points to close at 2,473.73

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) – an indicator to measure share transaction in the stock market – has reached the highest-ever points.

With today’s rise, the NEPSE has bounced to reach 2,500 points. According to the NEPSE, the stock market has touched 2,473.73 points with a gain of 65.49 points today alone.

Likewise, the sensitive index which measures share transaction of big companies has also gained 14.10 points today to reach 451.38 points.

Along with the rise in NEPSE index, the traded amount has also witnessed increment. Total volume of shares traded today were over Rs 8.59 billion. Shares of 200 companies were traded, NEPSE said.

The share market capitalization has reached Rs 3300 billion with today’s increment.

Non-life insurance group investors have earned the most from Tuesday’s market. Shares of Prabhu Life and United Insurance rose 10 percent and the rest rose more than 9 percent.

Similarly, Support Microfinance and Jan Uthaan Community Microfinance accounted for 9.98 percent, Gurans Microfinance Financial Institution 9.95 percent, Ajod Insurance and Reliance Life Insurance 9.90 percent, Everest Insurance 9.88 percent, Sanima General Inurance and Mountain Energy of Nepal grew by 9.86 percent.
