NEPSE index slips back 0.21 points on Monday

KATHMANDU (ET): The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index lost a minimal 0.21 points from the all-time high created on Sunday and closed at 2,906.70 on Monday.

This is thus, the second-highest closing in the entire history of NEPSE. The index opened at 2,928.09 immediately made the intraday high at 2,932.82. While it went as low as 2,892.98, it ultimately closed at 2,906.70.

According to NEPSE, 35,474,414 shares traded hands via 151,942 transactions. The trading of 221 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 15.81 billion.

NEPSE had created the highest intraday turnover ever recorded in Nepal’s capital market of Rs. 17.271 billion on Sunday.

While the float index lost 0.07 points and closed at 201.28, the Sensitive index is at 520.63 after losing 0.38 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 62.17 crores.
