KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index lost 17.79 points on Tuesday and closed at 2,423.09. This is 0.73% lower than the all-time high created on Monday.
The index opened at 2,461.42 today. Although the index went as high as 2,462.28, it gradually lost and made an intraday low at 2,419.89. The index then ultimately closed at 2,423.09.
A total of 19,606,555 shares traded hands via 63,818 transactions. The trading of 207 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 8.27 Arba. While the float index lost 0.89 points and closed at 165.60, the Sensitive index is at 447.24 after losing 4.58 points.
Nepal Life Insurance Company has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 1.45 billion. The units of Nabil Equity Fund traded the most.
