KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index lost 16.96 points on Thursday and closed at 2,843.00.
The index opened at 2,871.65 and went on a steep decline to the intraday low at 2,833.53. It then bounces back to the intraday high of 2,872.26 and ultimately closed at 2,843.00.
According to the NEPSE, 13,210,369 shares traded hands via 78,983 transactions. The trading of 219 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 7.03 billion. This is lower than yesterday’s turnover of Rs. 8.362 billion.
